Etch Damage on Marble Surfaces
Wickenberg, Arizona homeowners contacted us for marble bathroom polishing services because they noticed all the marble surfaces in their bathroom had etch damage. Most of the etch marks were on the vanity around the sink, caused by cosmetic products. Normal use and wear gave the finish a dull appearance in certain areas. Improper cleaning products played a part in the damage, as well. Every surface of the bathroom needed some attention, from the vanity to countertops and tub surround. We assured the homeowners that with our professional refinishing services, the elegance of their marble bathroom could be restored.
Our Marble Honing and Polishing Process
Before we began any work, we masked and protected the surfaces surrounding our work area, such as the floors, cabinets, and walls. Our first step in the restoration process was to remove the surface damage. We accomplished this by honing the marble surface. Then we mounted a series of diamond pads with progressively finer grits to our hand tool and took our time to bring the marble to the exact finish the homeowners requested, that is, a glossy, reflective finish. Our final step was to apply a high-quality impregnating sealer to inhibit staining.
The homeowners were so happy to see their bathroom looking as gorgeous as the day it was first installed.
