Unsightly Travertine Floor
Tempe, Arizona homeowners contacted us because their travertine floor looked unsightly. They had put off scheduling professional travertine restoration services for a long time, because they were concerned that the big floor machines stone restoration contractors use to hone and polish floors might result in damage to their belongings or the surfaces surrounding the work area.
We assured them that Beyond Stone Solutions always uses the utmost precaution to mask and protect on every job we do, and use hand tools, if needed, in places where the quarters are too close for the floor machine.
Our Travertine Refinishing Process
First, we honed the travertine to remove surface scratches, etch damage, and embedded dirt and grime. Then, we used progressively finer grit diamond pads to achieve a gorgeous polished finish. We applied an impregnating sealer to inhibit staining for a finishing touch.
The homeowners were amazed at the clarity and elegance of the floor. They were also happy that we were able to accomplish this job without incident, leaving everything exactly as we found it—except the floor, of course!
